Weekly Wears: July 29th
Happy Monday Beauties! Being a busy bee this summer, as I'm sure many of you college students are, I have been looking for a great staple piece for my closet that is very versatile and can be worn many different ways. I've gathered much inspiration this past week from interning in NYC, and working in the cultured town of Princeton, NJ. What I've come up with is an elegant, easy, and cute dress that will be perfect for anything your schedule decides to throw at you: The Drop-Waist Dress.

This dress has a very unique waistline, but seems to fit any shape. It also elongates your torso. While this dress may appear to be a bit more on the dressy side, many drop-waist dresses are created in different prints and fabrics, making them versatile and able to be dressed up or down. I've created some different looks to showcase the utility of this dress.
This first look is what you would expect when you first glance at this type of piece: an outfit for a fancy night out. Whether you're going to a work party, or an awards ceremony, this dress is simple and easy to dress up using different accessories.
This next outfit is my favorite because it gives off such an effortless and comfortable vibe, perfect for a day at work. This plain black dress can once again be dressed up with different accessories. You won't have to worry about a tight-fitting dress while trying to sit in a business meeting or walk through, the drop-waist is comfortable while still flattering.
Need a dress for a day at the farmer's market with Mom? Once again this dress is perfect! The light and airy fabric combined with the waistline, creates the perfect silhouette for a summertime dress. Add in some cute accessories and you're ready to go.
Lastly, the Date Night dress! This dress is accented with some colors of it's own, leaving only a need for minimal accessories, giving you less to worry about on top of your first date jitters.
So next time you need something easy and adorable, grab a drop-waist dress which you can find cheap at your regular Forever 21, Zara, etc.
