It’s Time For A “Romantic” Halloween

Halloween is a time for costumes, partying, glamour, and…well, more partying! When thinking about your costume this Halloween it’s important to remember that you can literally do anything! Well, as long as it doesn’t break the law-but that might be your thing!

Either way, Halloween is a time for self expression. Take this opportunity to really think out your costume and have fun with it!

In the mean time here are some inspiring photos to get your creative juices flowing….

A subculture of young creatives in 1980s London, the New Romantics, lived every day like it was Halloween. And they were fabulous. People who called themselves New Romantics included everyone from Boy George, to Vivienne Westwood, Lee Bowery, and in his earlier years, David Bowie.

The New Romantics commonly embraced past fashion history, often with a gender-bending twist.

Big, loud, audacious, and sometimes jarring- New Romanticism was a celebration of life and individuality.

It can just partying and free chocolate (which are always wonderful combination), but even more, Halloween can be a celebration of individuality! October 31st is primetime for self expression.
