Trim's Top 5 Hub City Pizza Picks
Pizza. The undeniably essential diet staple of the college student (& probably the whole world, too); but when surrounded by a sea of seemingly delicious possibilities how does one choose the perfect pie in New Brunswick? We’ve laid it out for you slice by slice. Here are our top 5 Hub City pizza picks.
1. Skinny Vinnie’s
Being a legendary Rutgers favorite we couldn’t leave this gem off the list. The only drawback is it's definitely one of the more expensive pizza options (because anything over $3 is expensive to a college student, right?) in New Brunswick, but it's 100% worth the extra money, trust us.
Where: 60 Sicard St
What to Get: Penne Pasta Slice, need we say more?
2. PJ’s Grill and Pizza
Located just around the block from our house, PJ’s was our go-to spot. All bias aside, they create triangles of heavenly perfection
Where: 166 Easton Ave
What to get: Buffalo chicken slice, our one true love
3. Filippo's Famous Pizza
For the EE route crowd, this is a must.
Where: 336 George St
What to Get: Their plain slice is where it’s at, stick to the basics.
4. The Original Pizza City
For most of our freshman year, this was the only pizza place we really knew, so we frequented it often. Although we've branched out and found new favorites, this classic original definitely earned its place on our list
Where: 145 Easton Ave
What to get: Buffalo chicken slice
5. Neubies Pizza
While Neubies is not on the same level of cheesy perfection as the many other options all along Easton Ave, there’s no such thing as bad pizza, especially in the ‘za meca that is New Brunswick
Where: 138 Easton Ave
What to get: Buffalo chicken slice (is it obvious how much we love buffalo chicken pizza yet?) and an order of garlic knots
