With a little planning, you can plan out some really cool things to do once you get to Chicago. Take a couple pictures on the famous Sky Deck in the Willis Tower, visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, or walk the Magnificent Mile along Lake Michigan!

Boston is only about 4 hours away from Rutgers and definitely one of the nicest cities on the East Coast. There are a ton of historic monuments in the city in addition to some great museums. It is very clean and has a bunch of great places to walk around and sightsee like Harvard Square.

Visit one of the world’s largest waterfalls if you’re looking for something fun to do this summer. It’s definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity that you can probably get some really great pictures out of. The city of Niagara Falls also has plenty of touristy attractions and restaurants like the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum and Rainforest Cafe. You can also see the waterfalls from the Unites States side of the border in New York.

If you don’t mind crossing the United States - Canada border and a little bit of a drive, Toronto is the largest city in Canada by population and a great road trip destination. It borders lake Ontario and has one of the most beautiful skylines. The CN Tower resembles the Seattle Space Needle and was the tallest building in the world at the time of it’s completion. There are a lot of small cafés and small shops, so go have a blast!
Virginia Beach, Virginia

Virginia Beach is great if you’re looking for a good beachy destination. It’s at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay where the bay and the Atlantic Ocean meet. Aside from the ocean, there are plenty of shops and restaurants on a boardwalk that borders the shore that can be really fun to walk along and enjoy your summer.
