Empties: To Buy or Not To Buy

Alas, the long-awaited third installment of “To Buy or Not to Buy” is here! Here are five products that I’ve recently finished up, and some thoughts on whether or not I’ll be repurchasing these products now that they’re gone. Enjoy!

1. Sea Mineral Moisture Conditioner, Organix

I’ve always been curious about the Organix brand of shampoos and conditioners, but until recently, I could never bring myself to spend the $6 or $7 on a small bottle of hair product when I get coupons for Herbal Essences and others brands in the mail on an almost daily basis. A few months ago, I decided to treat myself and now I can’t imagine life without this conditioner. I have extremely thick, and often really dry, curly hair, and this conditioner is the first one in my 20 years of life that really makes my curls moist and soft. It is a little pricey for the size of the bottle, but it really does quench your hair and last a decent amount of time, so I’ll definitely be repurchasing this next time!

2. Brow Wiz, Anastasia Beverly Hills

This product has become my absolute holy grail of life that I find myself recommending to friends at every possible chance I get. This brow pencil is extremely fine, allowing hair-like strokes for a more natural look. It also comes with a spool brush on the other end, which is extremely convenient by having two products in one. Since you only use small amounts of this product to fill in your eyebrows, it lasts forever (I’ve had mine since September and am just starting to run out now!). I already have a backup ready to go, and this is definitely something I’ll be repurchasing for a while!

3. Age Rewind Undereye Concealer, Maybelline

Despite my obsession and love for sleeping, I never seem to get enough to not have insanely dark circles under my eyes. The brightening color and sponge applicator made this my absolute favorite product because it was effortless and made me look like a human being again. Unfortunately, when I went to repurchase this at my local Target, they were completely out, so I went for another brightening concealer, but maybe next time!

4. Lights, Cameras, Lashes Precision Eyeliner, Tarte

I recently ran out of this eyeliner after having it for probably only a month, and I didn’t enjoy it much at all. The brush was too thick and dry, making the liner come out also too thick, with a cakey consistency. I bought this eyeliner because my trusty Kat Von D tattoo liner was sold out and I was getting desperate for an eyeliner, so I settled for this and was just generally disappointed. I won’t be straying from my Kat Von D liner ever again, and definitely won’t be repurchasing this eyeliner in the future.

5. Protecting Light Moisturizer, Simple

I’ve been in love with every Simple product I’ve ever tried, and this moisturizer was no exception. It’s not heavy and it’s super gentle for sensitive skin, and it’s just all around a great moisturizer for a great price. Simple also has a ton of coupons floating around at all times, so be sure to check that out before you buy to make this amazing product even cheaper! I’ll be repurchasing this moisturizer, no doubt in my mind!

    Stay smiling,

Danielle
